Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment for Children

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare’s Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Facility is designed to provide patients ages 7 and older with a secure environment in which to stabilize emergent psychiatric issues. Our goal is to provide young patients with the skills they need to return to their communities as healthier individuals.

Inpatient hospitalization at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare provides a controlled, structured environment for boys and girls who require consistent care for issues such as depression, anxiety, anger and aggression, mood and behavioral disorders, or thoughts of harming themselves or others.

Each patient’s course of treatment is guided by an individualized treatment plan developed with input from the patient, their family, referring professionals and North Spring’s multidisciplinary treatment team. Throughout their stay, each patient may receive psychiatric, psychological, nursing, recreational and educational support services. Through various therapeutic activities, patients can begin to learn healthy behaviors to help them cope with their behavioral and mental health issues.

At North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, we recognize that family involvement is essential to each child’s recovery. The recovery process begins during treatment, and family sessions are recommended during this time to help identify areas of concern and establish a plan of care to ensure continued treatment after discharge.

For parents: we understand that making the decision to seek treatment for your child can be an overwhelming experience, and the caring and compassionate staff of North Spring Behavioral Healthcare’s admissions department is here for you. Each member of our admissions team is willing and able to answer questions about your child’s stay including program specifics, admissions procedures and insurance questions. Admissions to North Spring Behavioral Healthcare are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

A no-cost, confidential assessment can help us determine the appropriate level of care for your child. Please call us any time, day or night.
