North Spring Behavioral Healthcare’s Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Facility is designed to provide a secure environment in which patients up to age 17 can receive consistent, comprehensive care. Inpatient treatment is designed to help stabilize acute psychiatric issues, help our teenage patients get care in a crisis, and provide youth with skill sets to return home as healthier people.
Inpatient hospitalization at North Spring Behavioral Healthcare offers a structured environment for young men and women who seek treatment for issues such as depression; anxiety; anger and aggression; mood and behavioral disorders or thoughts of harming themselves or others.
Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan developed with input from the patient, their family, referring professionals and North Spring’s multidisciplinary treatment team. Throughout their stay, each adolescent may receive psychiatric, psychological, nursing, recreational and educational support services. Through various therapeutic activities, patients can begin to learn healthy behaviors to help them cope with their behavioral and mental health issues.
At North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, we recognize that family involvement is essential to each of our patients’ recoveries. This process begins during treatment, and family sessions are recommended to help identify areas of concern and establish a plan of care to ensure continued treatment after discharge.
