Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (VADBHDS)

 

 

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare is licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. North Spring is a Virginia Medicaid-approved facility.

 

 

Family First Virginia

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare has been approved as a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) effective September 30, 2021 by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Social Services Division of Family Services.

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare is also certified by the Virginia Department of Education. Children and adolescents continue academic studies during their stay with us, and they earn academic credits for completed course work. Our educational program is VAISEF-accredited.

North Spring Behavioral Healthcare’s school is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning.

Cognia

North Spring is accredited with Cognia. Cognia accreditation represents the unified policies and procedures for accreditation and certification from its Accreditation Divisions:

  • North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI)
  • Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC)
  • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI)
  • NCA CASI, SACS CASI, and NWAC comprise three of the six regionally recognized K-12 accrediting bodies and together have been accrediting institutions for 125 years.

Certified Sex Offender Treatment Providers (CSOTP)

 

Our programs for sexualized behaviors (Adventurers Program and Horizons Program) are supervised by Certified Sex Offender Treatment Providers (CSOTP).
